Advanced Independent Medical Opinion

Comprehensive Records-Only Evaluation for Cases Requiring Extensive Medical Analysis

Best for: Cases involving prior VA denials, conflicting medical evidence or opinions, multiple medical relationships, or other issues requiring extensive medical analysis.

Is Advanced Review Right for Your Case?

Advanced Review is designed for cases requiring a higher level of medical analysis than an Essential or Enhanced Review.

This may include:

  • Prior VA denials requiring detailed medical analysis

  • Prior unfavorable or conflicting medical opinions

  • Multiple interrelated medical conditions

  • Multiple theories of service connection

  • Secondary service connection involving more extensive causation analysis

  • Aggravation beyond natural progression

  • Significant or conflicting medical evidence

  • Substantial records requiring deeper review

A case does not need to involve multiple conditions to qualify for Advanced Review. A single condition may require Advanced Review when the medical evidence or questions presented require extensive analysis.

Your review level is determined by the overall scope and complexity of the medical analysis required—not simply the number of claimed conditions.

What You Receive

Your case is reviewed by a U.S.-licensed, doctorate-level medical provider who independently evaluates the submitted medical and service records relevant to your case.

Your Advanced Review includes:

  • Comprehensive review of submitted records relevant to the claimed condition(s)

  • In-depth independent medical analysis of the available evidence

  • Analysis of direct causation, secondary relationships, and aggravation when applicable

  • Review and discussion of relevant conflicting medical evidence or prior medical opinions when applicable

  • A detailed written Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) based on the findings of the medical review

  • Secure electronic delivery of the completed opinion

Important Before You Purchase

This is a records-only independent medical review service. No appointment, physical examination, or telehealth visit is included or required.

You are purchasing the professional review and analysis of your medical and service records and preparation of an Independent Medical Opinion based on the findings of that review.

A favorable medical conclusion is not guaranteed. Depending on the evidence, the provider's independent findings may be favorable, neutral, unfavorable, or may determine that a requested medical conclusion cannot be supported by the available evidence.

This service does not include medical diagnosis or treatment, legal advice, claim preparation, or VA representation.

Medical review begins once your submitted records are accessed. Payment becomes non-refundable once medical review has begun.

All medical opinions are independently determined from the evidence available for review. All VA claim and rating decisions are made solely by the Department of Veterans Affairs. No specific VA rating, service-connection decision, or claim outcome is guaranteed.
